The Mama Grizzly Kicks Butt--UPDATED

The Palin Derangement Syndrome is in full bloom. Sorry to break it to you Sarah haters, but her TLC series about Alaska was a smashing success. In fact, it broke a record for the television station.

Read from the American Thinker:

The Learning Channel's debut of 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' smashes recordRick Moran

"TLC has struck gold with Sarah Palin's reality show.

The Hollywood Reporter:

'Sarah Palin's documentary / travelogue / reality / biopic shattered TLC ratings records Sunday night.
The debut of Sarah Palin's Alaska delivered a whopping 5 million viewers.

The first episode of the eight-part series was the most-watched program launch in TLC's history
.

Some are calling the series a 2012 campaign ad, while producer Mark Burnett has defended the show as "completely non political."

Tim Goodman's THR review said both Palin's fans and critics will find what they're looking for in the show."
'

MSNBC's Keith Olbermann and his fellow liberal spin master/mistress Rachel Maddow only wish they could receive so many viewers.

Liberals throughout the country are fit to be tied! Add to that the news that daughter Bristol will be going to the finals in Dancing with the Stars. As a fan of the show, I've watched her from week one. Though she has improved dramatically, she clearly is not the most skillful dancer, but she sure gets the votes from the fans. When I heard that the vote total this week was the highest ever, I suspected that it had something to do with Bristol. I'm lovin' it. Eat your heart out, libs!

" 'Sarah Palin's Alaska' set a TLC ratings record when it debuted to 5 million viewers last week, but the second episode showed a huge drop-off in viewership.

Episode two of the Palin reality show averaged just 3 million viewers, down 40% from the previous week.

Perhaps more troubling are the viewer demographics. The show averaged just 885,000 viewers in the advertiser-friendly 18-49 demo, and the median age of the show's viewer is a whopping 57 years old. According to The Live Feed's James Hibberd, that's 15 years older than TLC's median age of 42."
