Majority Support Israeli Strike on Iran

Even if the Obama Administration fails to recognize the danger of a nuclear Iran, the American people are not so naive, and in a recent poll, the majority support an Israeli military strike on Iran.

Even a surprising number of Democrats support such an operation. Shocking, I know. They probably want Israel to do the dirty work, so they can then scream and complain about it after it's done.

Read from Israel Matzav:

Poll: Most Americans would back an Israeli attack on Iran

"Perhaps realizing that their own President just isn't going to do it, most Americans now back an Israeli strike on Iran's nuclear capabilities.

'The poll was conducted by TIPP, the polling unit of TechnoMetrica Market Intelligence, a U.S. research firm of both syndicated and custom Market Research solutions.

According to the poll, 43 percent of U.S. Democrats approve of Israel taking military action against Iran to prevent Iran from building nuclear weapons, while 40 percent disapprove. However, when Republicans were asked the same question, 74 percent voiced approval while 17 percent disapproved. Among independents, 56 percent approved of military action while 30 percent disapproved.

Overall, 56 percent of Americans approved a military strike, while 30 percent disapproved
, according to the poll
.'

Once again, we see a partisan split on this issue. My hunch is that the split is not caused by (lack of) support for Israel, but rather by the desire of the Left wing of the Democratic party to avoid war at any cost."

Funny how Americans have become more security conscience with a foreign policy weakling like Obama running the show.

Why is it the United States' responsibility to secure Israel's security?

If the Israelis think that a preemptive strike is wise, then let them go for it. A preemptive strike against Iran by the U.S. is probably not in America's best interests right now.

some common cause or purpose:

If America turned their backs on every ally that needs our help & support, America wouldn’t have very many allies, Now would we?

How is it anti-Semitic to say that Israel, if it thinks a preemptory strike is necessary, should take that strike itself?

You Religious Rightwingnuts are just a collection of contradictions. You won't lift a finger to help people in this country who neeed help, and you complain bloody murder about any American dollars spent on foreign aid... but you think America should take on the cost (in blood and treasure) of fighting Israel's chosen battles??

DiogenASS: Israel is the only democracy and ally in the region moron!

Don't you think trying to preserve this outpost is strategically vital to America and their allies security and national interest?

Christians have done more in this country for the needy and displaced then any whining thumbsucking leftwingloon has done for the poor in the history of America.

You call Israel defending itself from attack, "Israel's chosen battles"?

You really do have shit for brains!
